Our Equipment

3D Printer : Formlabs Form2 SLA

Our 3D printer is an SLA type machine. This is quite different to a typical FDM (extruder) style 3D printer. This machine prints using a UV laser and hardens liquid resin layer by layer. We can print features as small as .005" and layers as small as .004 with excellent surface finishes. We offer many types of materials including tough, durable, flexible, clear and custom colored resins (translucent or opaque). This is by far the most utilized piece of equipment in our shop.

Plasma Cutter : Grunblau Platform CNC

Many of our projects are built out of CNC plasma cut steel or aluminum pieces. With this machine we can take 2D shapes created in CAD and cut them out of metal plate at speeds as high as 200 in/min. Our Plasma cutter is equipped with a Powermax 65 plasma torch, a digital torch height controller from CandCNC and a home designed stainless water table (to control the smoke). We can cut sheets as thin as 22ga and as thick as 5/8" plate.
